Sophie Cartensen Bio ~ 1938 - 1940




Notes: Non-Canon. Acted motherly toward her Watcher, Yanna who had hallucinations and manic episodes. She had a friend named Greta before becoming the Slayer.

Personality and Appearance: Blue eyes, blonde hair. Tall, gorgeous.

Bio: Sophie Carstensen was born on August 31, 1923 in Copenhagen,Denmark. Her parents were killed by followers of the vampire Gorm when she was young. She had been trained by her Watcher Yanna Narvik from a young age. She hunted down Gorm at 16, and killed him. Shortly thereafter she was called to London to meet with the Watcher's Council. She was informed that she was the be sent to France to protect the fallen soldiers from vampire attacks. In May 1940, she and Yanna were told her Spike and Drusilla had stolen the list of Potentials from the Council and that they were to retrieve as many girls as possible. On July 15th, they picked up Eleanor Boudreau and her Watcher Bertram Martin in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Though attacked by the vampires while on the train, Sophie protected Eleanor and Yanna. Bertram was killed though. Any girl retrieved was taken to the Watcher's Council. In August, Yanna and Sophie traveled to Greece to get Valerie, another potential but arrived only in time to see her funeral. Upon realizing that all girls but one were dead or at the Council headquarters, Sophie and her Watcher returned to Copenhagan to find Spike and Drusilla. They took Yanna hostage and Sophie tracked them down to Gorm's old hideout. After battling Spike for some time, he got the best of her and killed her in front of Yanna. She did not cry and died bravely. Yanna had gone mad by this point and they simply left her in the cave to die.
