Nikki Wood Bio ~ 1971 - 1977




Notes: Canon Slayer, Non-Canon information in italics. One of the Slayers to not only have had a child and had her Crucimentum. Nikki is the only Slayer to have have had her Cruciamentum while pregnant. She idolized Malcolm X and Cleopatra Jones from the movie of the same name.

Personality and Appearance: African American, afro hair style, leather trench coat, dressed a little punk. Major attitude and an excellent fighter.

Bio: Nikki was born in 1955. She was called to be the Slayer in 1971. She lived with her Watcher Bernard and his nephew. She also had a boyfriend, Li. He was the head of task force for the police. He was killed by vampires on a stake out. Though I'm not sure, Li was probably the father of Nikki's baby. In 1973 Nikki turned 18 and was given her Cruciamentum while pregnant unbeknownst to her watcher. She survived and later that year gave birth to a son, Robin. By the time Robin was 4, she was taking him on patrol and training him. She inherited a bag from an unknown source of past Slayers, a "Slayer emergency kit" containing weapons, an urn of some kind, some holy water, and a box with instructions and tools into a portal. The portal takes the Slayer to the beginning of man to the place where the Slayer was born. Should the world's situation become desperate, the Slayer could turn to this alternative for more power. It was described as a "Slayer heirloom" but her son Robin couldn't bear to part with it until his recent work with the Slayer Buffy Summers and it was bestowed to her. Nikki met her untimely demise on a subway late on night in a fight with the vampire Spike. They fought it out, but she could not take him and so she had no choice and simply gave up at one point. Spike snapped her neck and took her leather jacket as a prize. The jacket he still wears to this day. Robin was then raised by Nikki's Watcher, Bernard Crowley. In 2003, Nikki's son, Robin Wood was residing in Sunnydale, California and not only acted as the Principal of Sunnydale High School, but worked alongside the Slayer Buffy. The First Evil appeared to him as Nikki, and though he knew it was not really her, it gave him the identity of her killer. Spike at the time was also working with the Slayer and so Robin sought revenge. These days Spike has a soul, and so he fought off Robin but did not kill him. They continued their uncomfortable alliance until leaving Sunnydale. On a side note, Robin currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio and is in charge of a group of Slayers.
