Kendra Young Bio ~ 1998




Notes: Canon Slayer, non canon information in italics. Actually studied the Slayer's Handbook. The only one that I know of to have done this. Was later given a last name by Joss Whedon for use in books, comics, and Role Playing Games.

Personality and Appearance: Professional, well trained, no time for friends or family. Pretty, long brown curly hair, nice figure, strong.

Bio: Born in Canetown Plantation, Jamaica. As soon as she was discovered as a potential, she was taken from her family. She was raised and trained by her watcher Mr. Zabuto. She was taken so young that she barely knew them, but her parents considered her being chosen a great honor. She became the Slayer in May 1997, and soon after traveled to Sunnydale, California to meet the other current Slayer Buffy. They teamed up for a variety of tasks including fighting the vampires Spike and Drusilla. She learned that her Watcher was in trouble and returned to Jamaica to find a zombie outbreak. As soon as she arrived, she was informed that a group of voodoo practitioners led by Baron Diable took over. In an attmept to create a queen, he killed Mr. Zabuto's girlfriend Mirielle before Kendra could save her. Unbeknownst to her, the Baron had implanted a voodoo curse into Kendra and she was eventually to become a zombie herself. She didn't get the chance. Her Watcher informed her that a very dark power was rising in Sunnydale and she left to assist Buffy. While there she was attacked by a group of vampires and her throat was slit by Drusilla.
