Angelique Hawthorne Bio ~ Late 1890's

Notes: Non-Canon. One of the only Slayers to not only take on Dracula, but also to have a circle of friends. Considered by the Watcher's Council to be the strongest Slayer up to her time and for many years after.

Personality and Appearance: Raven black hair, fast, skilled Slayer. Good sense of well being, happy, friendly, a bit naive.

Bio: Had a rough childhood, Angelique was the 3rd of 5 children in a destitute household. Her father left the family before she was even born and she was raised by her uncle and mother. They lived in a place called Shoreditch, renting 2 feeble rooms for 8 shillings a week. At 7, she sold matches as an odd job to help out her family, and by 12 she had a job. Her uncle had lost her job and so she took a job in a nearby factory to support the family. One day while she was at work, her family was killed by a group of vampires, and Angelique was devastated and alone. Not long after, in 1895, she was called to be the Slayer and the first thing she did was kill the nest of vamps who had killed them. Angelique was a rarity for a Slayer, she had, and insisted upon keeping her friends. Though her Watcher Professor Peter Van Helsing protested the presence of civilians, he tried to realize their contributions to her effectiveness as a Slayer. Having a life outside her duties helped maintain her focus she claimed. Angelique surrounded herself with her best friend Molly Carrington, Patch, and her crush Gordon Mycroft. They, the Slayer and her Watcher met for "Scooby Meetings" in what they called "The Lair", a sub cellar beneath Professor Van Helsing's house. The "Lair" also contained a state of the art, up to date makeshift gymnasium, provided by Van Helsing and the Watchers Council, for Angelique's training. Here she was trained in not only Baritsu, but the french fighting style La Canne, fencing, classical, and bayonet. Angelique learned the hard way what can happen when you have liabilities as a Slayer. When she took on the legendary vampire Dracula, Molly was kidnapped and vamped by him. Though she was too late to save her friend, she trapped the unstakable Dracula in a mold of wax and holy water, where he was trapped for an unknown period of time. Realizing the reality of her life and the words of her Watcher, she sent away her remaining friends, and continued to slay with only her Watcher at her side. It is unknown how or when she met her demise.
